World Schools Debating Championships
Greece has been very successful at the World Schools Debating Championships, managing to reach the break rounds in every competition since 2001 and reaching three semi-finals, the most recent one in 2009.
This is a list of achievements of the Greek national team:

Athens also hosted the World Schools Debating Championships in 2009, with Effie Giannakouri as the Convenor and Irianna Kouri as the Chief Adjudicator. For more information, click here.
Panhellenic Forensics Association Tournaments
The PFA tournaments have been running for decades in Greece. Participants come from a number of PFA member schools from Athens and Thessaloniki, while tournament hosts alternate between the two cities. After ACS Athens hosted the tournament in 2010, Mandoulides Schools in Thessaloniki will host the next edition in March 2011.
The latest tournament attracted 400 students from 17 schools in Debate, Impromptu Speaking, Oratory Speaking, Duet Acting, Oral Interpretation of Literature and Group Discussion.
The debating tournament is held in the World Schools format since 2004.
